Brandon Street Community Development Project is a organization committed to serving Black youth and families in Toronto. Our foundation offers continuous support to sustainable programs and activities that improve the quality of life and unlock the potential of Black Canadian youth. We are committed to the idea of community collaborative engagement whereby those with skills and resources help others with less become key contributors and leading members of society. We support skills training programs for Black families and commitment to community service. We also encourage youth entrepreneurship and participation in social enterprise. Dedicated to enriching and improving the lives of children in our community the foundation strives to serve children dealing with significant life challenges by facilitating access to education and the arts.
We are also proud to fund programs that aim to reduce youth-on-youth violence by encouraging independence and strength-of-mind among youth at-risk.
We believe that when one can embrace who they are,
they can define their future, and can change the world.
We are unique because we bridge business and community to affect change.
As a community development organization, we develop, promote and incubate innovative programs and community initiatives that make a positive difference to youth and their families in communities across Toronto,
As agents for community development, we believe there are many ways to affect change. Our initiatives include the education, arts, financial literacy and mentorship in the Black community.
We see a future where those in our community who are facing barriers such as racism, opportunities, self esteem, knowledge, lack of skills or resources can find support from Brandon Street as a facilitator of solutions to lead a better path in life.
